11 Pear Juice Benefits

Other than the fact that pears are a delicious, sweet fruit, not many dig in more to find out what benefits pear juice yields. And trust me, the list is long.

The benefits of juicing pear can be seen throughout the whole body, inside and out.

With just one glass of pear juice a day, you will get an abundance of healthy nutrients that make the whole body healthier and stronger.

Some of the positive effects of pear juice are the following:

1. Helps your bones

Pear juice is a great source of boron, a mineral that helps the body retain calcium, as well as Vitamin K which is responsible for building strong bones.

By consuming one glass of pear juice per day, you can reduce the risk of developing osteoporosis, you will make your bones stronger and less prone to fractures and reduce the risk of experiencing bone deteriorating problems.

2. Prevents cancer

The benefits of juicing pears do as far as preventing cancer too. Consuming pear juice will give your body an explosion of antioxidants, especially vitamin C and copper.

These powerful antioxidants remove free radicals from your cells, preventing their abnormal development which can later turn into the development of cancerous cells.

Additionally, pear juice has pectin fiber in it which binds to fatty substances, cancer-causing agents, and free radicals in the digestive system, further reducing the risk of developing cancer.

3. Feeds the brain

The intake of antioxidants is incredibly beneficial for the brain. They eradicate radicals from your brain cells, helping it maintain its healthy function, and improve your cognition.

The antioxidants in pear juice have been proven to reduce the risk of developing Alzheimer’s and dementia.

4. Reduces inflammation

Pear juice is recommended by trainers to be consumed pre and after workout thanks to its anti-inflammatory abilities.

It calms your tissues, muscles, and bones, and also helps relieve pain.

Inflammation also causes other problems such as weight gain, high blood pressure, shortness of breath

5. Ideal for weight loss

The benefits of juicing pears aren’t only medical, but also esthetical. Pear juice is rich in fiber and will make you feel fuller faster and longer, which will help you lose weight faster, but still remain healthy and vital.

Additionally, we already mentioned pear juice is helpful against inflammation, and inflammation has been proven to contribute to weight gain.

Consuming pear juice frequently will not only help you lose weight but will also prevent you from gaining more weight.

6. Maintains heart health

The high concentration of potassium in pear juice helps maintain a healthy heart by lowering the blood pressure.

By lowering your blood pressure, the strain placed on your blood vessels and arteries is minimized, helping your heart deliver blood to your whole body more easily and with less stress.

7. Improves circulation

As we all know, iron is vital for our blood health and the lack of it can cause some conditions such as anemia, fatigue, stomach problems, fatigue and even more serious ones like leukemia.

Pear juice has large quantities of iron in it that can help your body produce more blood cells.

This makes it perfect to consume by people that are anemic, have iron deficiency or experience frequent blood clogs.

8. Helps digestion

Although stomach disorders are a frequent appearance which many of us tend to ignore and let pass by on itself, they can turn into something serious and have lasting damaging effects on your body.

To prevent this from happening, nutritionists often mention the benefits of juicing and recommend consuming large quantities of fiber.

Fibrous content can be found in many fruit juices, especially in pear juice and are a great aid to fight against inflammation and promote healthy digestion.

Just one pear can provide you with a quarter of the recommended daily fiber intake, which means that a full glass of pear juice will be enough to fill in the whole recommended intake.

9. Boosts the immune system

As I mentioned before, pear juice is a vitamin bomb for the body that will help cleanse it, make it stronger and more vital.

It’s rich in antioxidants and vitamin C, the number one defendants of our immune system.

They are responsible for stimulating white cell production and aiding their activity, which will ultimately result in them fighting off free radical damage, infections, and disease from all over the body.

10. Improves blood health

The benefits of juicing have been proven through countless studies. Pear juice is especially rich in Vitamin K, a nutrient responsible for clotting blood and helping the body heal wounds.

By consuming pear juice rich with Vitamin K, you’re helping your body heal faster and you’re reducing the risk of getting hemorrhoids, nosebleeds, bleeding gums, and heavy menstruation.

Additionally, pear juice helps reduce blood sugar, blood pressure and minimize the stress placed on your blood vessels, helping the whole blood system function better.

11. Recommended during pregnancy

The benefits of juicing are also transferred to the fetus of pregnant women.

Pear juice is rich in folate, a vitamin that has been known to prevent neural tube defects in babies, which is why doctors recommend pregnant women to consume it regularly.

Delicious pear recipe:

Because pears have a mild flavor, they’re often mixed in with other, strong tasting fruits such as oranges, pineapples, lemons, limes and other.

Following is a delicious pear juice you can prepare easily at home with a few simple ingredients.

Servings: 2

6 pears
2 oranges
Pinch of sea salt

Instructions

2. Put the pears in your blender along with the orange and blend them until they get an even consistency (usually around 2-3 minutes)
3. Strain out the juice and preserve the remaining content to cook later
4. Let the juice chill in a freezer and consume it.

Juicing and Weight Loss – Is it Really Healthy?

Juicing fresh fruits and vegetables can be healthy but this doesn’t guarantee weight loss. To lose weight, you should focus on your daily caloric intake combined with physical exercise.

You can use juices as part of your weight loss diet but in some cases, juices can cause more harm than good to your body.

It is quite easy to chug down a glass of freshly made juice. But juices are not calorie free. In order for you to lose weight successfully, you will need to stay in a caloric deficit.

Having high-calorie juices can cause you to go over your calorie intake for the day which will slow down your weight loss progress. Using too many fruits will also affect your blood sugar levels.

Substituting a meal with a serving of juice can leave you hungrier later in the day. It is much more satisfying to eat your calories rather than drinking it.

With the pulp and fiber removed, it will leave you feeling unsatisfied. You’re more likely to binge on snacks throughout the day to keep you full.

This can cause you to gain more weight instead of losing it.

On the other hand, smoothies can help you lose weight. Unlike juicing, smoothies are prepared by blending all the fruits and vegetables together, including the fiber.

This keeps you full and minimizes the need to binge eat throughout the day. What I love about smoothies is the flexibility of ingredients.

You can add protein powder, oats, yogurt or even almond milk for a muscle building post workout shake. Smoothies are also great for breakfast since they are quick to prepare and you will be able to have all your essential vitamins and minerals in one sitting.

If you like to learn more about smoothies and how you can lose weight without wasting too much time in the kitchen, I recommend The Smoothie Diet created by health coach Drew Sgoutas.

Why Chronic Inflammation Affects a Large Number of People

this is an image of gut inflammation

Did you know inflammation is your body’s way to fight off harmful substances such as viruses, bacteria, or toxins? The tell-tale signs of inflammation are reddening or swelling of some body part. Other signs include pain in that area.

While inflammation is your body’s defense mechanism and inherently not bad, chronic inflammation, on the other hand, reduces your immune system’s capability to battle with these foreign substances.

When the immune system is overactive, chronic inflammation sets in. By overactive, we mean an immune system that works in the overdrive mode, as if it is malfunctioning or confused.

But is this truly the case? Or is this the result of living in an environment that’s toxic? Or perhaps stress is the root cause of this?

It’s hardly a secret that almost everybody today feels burdened with stress. Also the environment today is more toxic than ever.

One finds cancer-causing and endocrine-disrupting chemicals not only in things like household cleaners but also in food and even water.

Given all this, what else can your body do, expect to fight these risks? The main culprits are poor diet, toxins, and food allergies, and stress.

To tackle inflammation, our bodies have to deal with this unrelenting attack by immune triggers. If you’re looking for an effective way to battle inflammation, you should eat a diet that’s anti-inflammatory in nature.

Gut Health Is Paramount

this is an image of good gut healthAs far as I’m concerned, the place where the fight against inflammation begins in the gut. By gut health, I mean how effective the digestion and healthy the gastrointestinal tract is.

If you think all of this is limited to the stomach, you’re wrong because it goes beyond that and includes large intestine, small intestine, and the colon.

These organs are among the biggest in our body. Precisely for this reason, small lifestyle changes won’t have a considerable impact on them.

That said, the rewards of maintaining a healthy gut are immense. This is because the direct side effect of an unhealthy gut is chronic inflammation.

What Makes a Diet Anti-Inflammatory?

Common sense, believe it or not, is the first ingredient of the anti-inflammatory diet. The first thing you must do is cut down the intake of unhealthy foods such as sugary beverages,

sweets, processed foods, processed meats, red meat, and refined carbs (like pasta, white bread, etc.).

To reduce exposure to harmful, toxic pesticides, eat organic food. Carefully and thoroughly washing the produce will also ensure your exposure to pesticides is the bare minimum if any.

Additionally, you’ll need to reduce the intake of omega-6. This is because foods like these are known to increase inflammation.

this is an image of an anti inflammatory diet

Ideally, the ratio between omega-6 and omega-3 should be approximately 1:1. However, this ratio in the usual American diet can be up to 20:1. According to health experts, this is one of the main factors for chronic inflammation.

On one hand you should limit these inflammatory factors in your diet, and on the other hand, you should include more healthy stuff in your diet.

Anti-inflammatory diets are rich in vegetables (particularly green, leafy vegetables), fruits, whole grains, nuts and seeds, legumes, and omega-3s.

However, let’s go a little further into this.

To follow a diet that’s anti-inflammatory, you should eat foods with these four characteristics: detoxifying activity, antioxidant activity, hormone-regulating activity, and nutrient density.

There are several foods which fit this description, but none does so better than these 7 extraordinary powerful foods.

Top 7 Anti-Inflammatory Foods You Should Consume Regularly

Foods with lots of antioxidants can help lower the bad effects of inflammation. Here are some foods you should include in your diet.

  1. Leafy Greens

Eating leafy greens is a healthy habit which you should cultivate immediately. Almost every healthy diet proposes a high intake of leafy greens.

this is an image of anti inflammatory foods

Studies show that healing crucifiers offer your body a slew of nutrients which can tackle inflammation commendably.

Kale is a great choice. You can have it raw by adding it to your salads and smoothies.

You can also add it to your soups, as well as other dishes if you don’t like eating raw kale.

Other excellent choices include Brussels sprouts, collards, Bok choy, and cabbage.

In case you want to make your green cuisine even more effective, consider adding chlorella and spirulina because studies show that they both reduce inflammation, lower cholesterol, and protect against oxidative stress.

  1. Raw Cacao

Did you know that ancient Aztecs called raw cacao “the food of the goods”?

And guess what, they were absolutely right. After all, this plant has more than 300 invigorating compounds, out of which many have excellent anti-inflammatory properties.

What’s more, the antioxidant power of this plant is 20 times more than blueberries. Additionally, it is extremely rich in minerals and vitamins.

However, this doesn’t imply you should eat one Mars bar after another. To get the maximum benefits, you should eat unprocessed and, if possible, unsweetened cacao. However, there’s nothing to worry about because raw cacao is delicious, particularly if you add it in a smoothie.

In case, you don’t wish to keep off sugar, your best bet is to eat organic chocolate, which is 70% or more cacao.

  1. Acai Berry

It is second in the list of the most potent antioxidant food, the first one being, of course, raw cacao. Another good thing is that it is low in sugar.

Additionally, studies have found that Acai Berry reduces inflammation and improves metabolism. In case you’ve never tried Acai Berry, let me tell you, it is an amazingly tasty fruit.

  1. Turmeric

When it comes to anti-inflammatory capabilities, Turmeric is as potent as any other food, if not more. There are innumerable studies that support this claim.

The main ingredient of turmeric, curcumin, is a powerful anti-inflammatory compound. However, it is not the only compound in turmeric that offers health benefits.

Research shows curcumin helps prevent and treat arthritis, general pains and aches, high cholesterol, heart disease, diabetes, depression, and cancer, among others.

As a matter of fact, meta-analyses report that curcumin and other healthful compounds present in turmeric display therapeutic potential for more than 600 health conditions and diseases.

However, there’s one big glitch. Curcumin, as well as other ingredients of turmeric, are not easily absorbed by the body. Some folks add a pinch of black pepper and consume this mixture with fat. For instance, coconut milk or ghee is traditionally used along with turmeric in India.

These practices may help absorb healthful compounds of turmeric. However, research shows that the best way to optimize turmeric benefits is by liposomal delivery.

This process basically encapsulates water-soluble compounds of turmeric with phospholipids. This, in turn, protects the resultant compound from breaking down.

According to a study which was published in Molecular Nutrition & Food, a peer-reviewed journal, liposomal delivery increases absorption by as much as 185 times.

  1. Maca

A South American root, Maca is a potent hormone regulator. For many thousand years it has been used to improve vitality. Additionally, it also possesses strong anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.

  1. Omega-3 fatty acids

This helps heal inflammation, in addition to boosting brain function, supporting heart health, regulating mood, and balancing hormone production.

As said above, a higher ratio between Omega-6s and Omega-3s increases chronic inflammation.  Many aspects of the normal American diet—such as chips, junk foods, red meat, baked goods with added sugar, and processed foods—are rich in omega-6s and hence are not good from inflammation point of view.

You can keep a healthy Omega-6s and Omega-3s ratio by:

  • avoiding unhealthy foods listed above
  • eating a lot of nuts, as well as seeds (particularly chia seeds and flaxseeds)
  • eating plenty of leafy greens
  • add wild-caught fish or a supplement containing omega-3 to your diet

Fish oil has long been hailed as a good option for upping the intake omega-3. However, algae oil is regarded by many as a potentially safer option.

  1. Ginger

One component of ginger, in particular, has very strong anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. Its name is 6-gingerol. It is also known to be effective against migraine headaches, as well as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.

These seven foods are effective in reducing inflammation, but there are other foods too with strong anti-inflammatory capabilities. These include tea, coffee, nuts, seeds, beans, legumes, garlic, onion, avocados, berries, and cruciferous veggies.

How to Control Inflammation in The Body

Do you feel overwhelmed by so much information? Well, you can proceed gradually.

Your first step should be to eliminate inflammatory, processed sugar, and junk foods. In place of them eat more of whole foods.

The next step should be to include anti-inflammatory foods in your diets, such as acai berry, raw cacao, turmeric, maca, omega-3s, ginger and other foods that are anti-inflammatory in nature.

Key Takeaway: One of the biggest risks to your health is chronic inflammation. Far too many people are facing health problems because of it. However, you can avoid being the next victim.

Take charge of your health and embrace healthy foods, maintain adequate water intake, exercise regularly, learn how to manage stress effectively, and get adequate sleep.

Kyle Cooper: The Fat Decimator System Review

this is an image of the fat decimator system review

Growing up in a southern family, life was all about Sunday lunches with the family.

Everyone knows how southerners love eating big meals filled with meat…and a lot of it. My childhood revolved around me eating big meals, both in my house and my grandparent’s house.

A major rule in my house was that no one can’t get off the table until they finish their plate, something a lot of you can relate to I’m sure.

Because I was raised like that, I formed the habit of always finishing my plate, no matter how big the meal was, which is not a good habit to have.

In my family, chubby kids were perceived as healthy kids, so when I put on a few pounds, no one thought anything bad of it.

Quite the contrary, they were seeing it as a sign that I was eating healthy.

During my teen and young adult years, I kept on getting more and more weight. I tried so many diets to lose the excess weight I had, but nothing seemed to be working for me.

The weird thing was that many of my friends were dieting and losing a lot of weight, but when I was doing the same things, I managed to lose only a few pounds.

But I just put it in the back of my mind and ignored that doubt. I honestly thought I was just finding excuses for my inability to lose weight.

As the years went on, I got married and had kids, which took their toll on my body. At the age of 43, I was not only getting close to being obese, but I was also struggling with constant fatigue, shortness of breath, hair loss. I thought to myself “There has to be something that causes this. This couldn’t be normal”.

I decided to go have a check at the doctor’s office to see if there was something stopping me from losing weight.

After hundreds of tests, my doubts were confirmed.

The doctor diagnosed me with hypothyroidism. It’s a condition where the thyroid gland doesn’t secrete enough hormones, causing symptoms such as weight gain and fatigue.

He further explained that it’s a major factor in many heart conditions, high cholesterol, and depression, which explained a lot.

I made a comment on how clear it was why all the weight piled up, but then the doctor said that although my hypothyroidism can influence my weight, it wasn’t the cause of me being overweight. In fact, he said that some of my symptoms might not even be caused by the hypothyroidism, but my weight.

The two had many similar symptoms, so getting the right diagnosis of what’s causing what problems can be tricky for doctors.

I got out of the doctor’s office full of new diagnosis and problems, and no clear cure for any of them.

The only thing the doctor said I could do is to manage my condition through a healthy lifestyle, something I wasn’t really good at (obviously).

When I got home, I immediately went to the bedroom and asked to be left alone for a while. I needed time to cry my pain away and rethink my life.

My husband Dave later came in and told me that my kids were asking what’s wrong, and is their mommy going to be okay.

Look at what I did. Not only did I ruin my body, but I even made my innocent children worried. That was the moment I made a decision to change my life.

I apologized to Dave and promised myself that I will become better than what I was then, for myself, for him, and most importantly, for my children.

They deserved to have a mother that could commit 100% to their lives and make them better, not make them stressed and worried.

So, immediately jumped to the Internet and looked for a diet that could help me. A healthy diet that I could handle with my busy mom life.

I came across a diet that looked ideal for my needs and what I was looking for.

It was called The Fat Decimator, a diet that combines dieting tips and workout plans to enable the person to lead a healthy lifestyle and lose weight in a healthy way.

On the first look, it seemed really interesting, so I continued reading about it.

Who’s the person behind The Fat Decimator Diet?

The person who made this diet is named Kyle Cooper, a former marine and now a certified trainer.

I was really touched with the story of how he came up with this diet.

His job in the marine was actually training soldiers, and due to being overweight, one of his team members accidentally got killed.

When he was recovering from this trauma, Kyle met a person named Sam Park, a Korean guy that was a member of the UN forces.

Sam explained to him that due to metabolic acidosis, a condition that causes acidic buildup in the body, people over the age of 30 struggle with losing weight.

Sam gave Kyle a list of herbs that help prevent this and melt fat, and they both decided to share what it with everyone.

What is The Fat Decimator?

The Fat Decimator is a digital program comprising of 4 sections: diet, workout plan, supplements, and motivation & mindset.

By reading reviews, I found out that it focused on getting the balance between your body’s nutrients: vitamins, fats, and carbs.

There were so many testimonials and success stories of people that were weighing even more than me when they started and now they all looked healthy and happy.

Just like I wanted to be one day.

What’s included in the program

At a price of only $57, it was a true bargain to buy the program.

Personally, I like digital diets and programs more than hard copy books, because I can put digital content in my gadget and take it everywhere.

So, I ordered it, and this is what I got:

Diet

By focusing on the important nutrients, Kyle gives advice on which foods are good for the body, and which ones are not. In the videos, Kyle explains why you should eat 5-6 meals a day, what to include in the meals and how everything you eat impacts your body.

Snacks and different smoothie recommendations are also included, which helped me feel full throughout the dieting.

Workout plan

In the workout plan, I got to choose whether I wanted to go to the gym or do a home workout routine.

Of course, I chose to do them at home because I have young children I can’t leave, and honestly, I was feeling subconscious about going to the gym with my weight.

Supplements

The third part was a very interesting one that reviewed the famous supplements that are sold around us.

It had a bunch of useful information I could use because not all of the supplements in the diet were selling near me, so I knew what I could use as a substitute.

Motivation&Mindset

Honestly, this is what got me through the diet.

You can’t do a major change in your life without the proper motivation and getting yourself in the right state of mind.

With these motivational guidelines, you will be able to follow the rules with easy and maximize your results.

4 bonuses

I got lucky to get a discount for purchasing the bonuses, which included the following:

The Fastest Weight Loss Week Action Plan – a plan with tips and tricks on how to speed up the process and maximize results

100 Great Tasting Green Smoothie Fat-Loss Recipes – a tasty set of smoothie recipes to help you deal with cravings and complement your diet.

I wasn’t a fan of smoothies prior to this, but now they are a regular, tasty habit in my life.

Powerful Sex Food and Stimulants – I think don’t need to explain this one.

The 3-Minute Belly Shrinker Video Series – These videos show a few short exercises you can do anytime and anywhere.

I was struggling to do them at first, but by the end of the second week, I got very used to them and even started enjoying!

My experience with The Fat Decimator

My journey was full of new experiences and unknown factors. I didn’t know what to expect, and honestly, I didn’t even believe I could do it.

But luckily, my husband was there to support me every step of the way, and I had my children for additional motivation, so once I got into it, I never looked back.

Week 1 – The first week was all about changes. I had to forget every food in my fridge and everything I was used to cooking and replace it with ingredients needed to cook the healthy recipes from the program.

Since I’m a stay at home mom, it wasn’t difficult to cook the meals at all, and honestly, they were pretty tasty if you’re asking me.

I thought I’d feel hungry often, but thanks to the smoothies and snacks, I managed to control my hunger and experience less cravings through the day.

I also had to shift my schedule and include a daily workout routine.

Doing the exercises was a bit of a struggle the first week, so if I’m being totally honest, I managed to do them only 2 times. After all, I was overweight which made me get tired faster than others and my muscles got inflamed to the point I couldn’t move the next day.

So, I decided to take it slow in the start and do as much as my body allowed me.

At the end of week 1, I weighed in and had lost a surprising 4 pounds!

This was result of eliminating the unnecessary junks of my body, which motivated me to continue with the program.

I immediately felt the benefits of eliminating all that junk food: I had more energy throughout the day and didn’t feel as bloated as before.

Week 2 – As the days went on, I introduced new things from the program in my life.

I used the detox plans, did more of the workout routines and bought a few supplements I could use.

In week 2, I noticed I could do the exercises easier than before and not feel as tired while doing them. And thanks to the detox, my metabolism started functioning properly which meant more timed and regular bathroom visits.

Week 2 ended with me losing 3 pounds, which was a result of more frequent exercises and a cleaner body.

Week 3– throughout week 3, I continued experiencing the benefits with an even greater impact on my life.

I now began to enjoy the workouts and didn’t even get tired when I was doing them.

At week 3, I started experiencing with the bonuses and used a few tips and tricks from them to increase my results. In this final week, I lost 3 pounds again.

After week 3 – After losing the first 10 pounds, the benefits just kept on increasing as time went on.

What once was a diet plan now was becoming a lifestyle for me.

Because the meals were so healthy and tasty, I started cooking them for my whole family, so we can all enjoy tasty and healthy meals.

I constantly repeated the routines, so it wasn’t even a scheduled thing, it just became a habit, a lifestyle. And, not only did I do the workout routines, but I also started going hiking or walking with the kids.

The benefits of The Fat Decimator Diet

Here is the big news. I’ve lost a shocking 47 pounds in just 4 months! If someone had told me that I would do it a year ago, I would honestly laugh in their face and call them crazy.

But I really did it. And I didn’t even pay a lot of money for expensive programs or personal trainers, all I did was follow this simple digital program I bought for less than a mall trip.

Everyone that saw me dropped their jaw. No one couldn’t believe how much weight I’ve lost.

The benefits I’m experiencing losing the weight are countless.

My overall health state has improved in the past few months, so I don’t feel so scared about my health and well-being anymore.

I have more energy for sports activities with my children, so I’m able to go for walks in the park or hiking in the mountains.

Previously, I was feeling ashamed to even go out of the house, let alone hike.

Even if I did try to do it, I got tired so easily and started hyperventilating after only a few minutes. But now, I regularly visit the mountains and canyons with Dave and the kids during the weekends.

And besides the weight-loss, I’ve experienced other physical benefits as well.

My skin is looking better than ever, which makes me look younger and prettier. This additionally brought back my confidence and increased my libido, so Dave and I spend a little more time in the bedroom than before.

I feel better overall, that’s all I can say.

The only downside I could say is that it’s not suitable for people younger than 30, since it was designed to address weightloss problems for people above 30 so it might not work as good for younger people.

If you’re in your twenties, I’d suggest you try out some other diet.

Conclusion: Very Satisfied With The Fat Decimator System

This diet was all about loss and gain. A lot of loss and a lot of gains.

What I lost was weight, but what I gained was a life change.

My healthy habits are now my family’s healthy habits and now we get to enjoy our time together and live to the fullest.

I couldn’t be more grateful to Kyle and this diet for allowing me to do that.

With a little effort, you too can do it. You just need to be determined and dedicated, and your success is guaranteed.

Half Day Diet Review – Here’s What I Really Think!

My Review: Here’s My Thoughts and Opinions On The Half Day Diet…

this is an image of the half day diet

As a kid, I was always the chubby one in the family. You know, the one that the whole family loves to tease and make jokes about.

While it didn’t bother me when I was 10, once I got to puberty, I started looking at my body differently, and having someone constantly comment about my weight made me subconscious about the way I looked.

I talked to my sisters about my weight issues, but they just blamed it on puberty and said it’s normal. So, I brushed it off and hoped for the best.

Turns out they lied. I was hoping when I left puberty I would experience a sudden weight loss and amaze everyone with how hot and fit I looked.

I expected to get those “OMG have you lost weight?” or “Wow, you look so good!” comments I always wanted to, but I didn’t. And then, college time arrived.

My friends were going on dates and getting invited to parties, and I just sat there, hiding from everyone. As every other emotional eater, I found my comfort in eating.

I was so depressed about my life that I became antisocial and was just… hiding. That’s all I did.

By recommendations of my family, I went to a psychiatrist in hopes of feeling better, but all he did was prescribe anxiety medication and antidepressants, which made me feel even more tired and unwilling to do anything.

In the meantime, I got an internship as a PHP developer, something that I always wanted to do.

I now had something to focus on, so I started working all the time to prove myself to my managers, which ultimately worsened my weight problems. My schedule consisted of me studying for college or sitting in front of my laptop all the time.

When the happiness of getting my dream internship faded, the feeling of emptiness came back, but this time with a vengeance.

I didn’t only feel bad physically and have health issues, but I went into a really bad place in my mind. All because of my weight.

I realized this type of lifestyle wasn’t doing anything good, neither for my body nor for my psychological state.

I promised myself I’ll do everything I can to lose weight, which proved more difficult to do than say.

I started dieting hardcore. Like, every single diet I could find – organic diets, restriction diets, 10 meal diets, everything.

Some diets I tried I quit immediately because they took too much time in meal prepping or exercising, a time I couldn’t afford.

There were also those that just got so monotonic that… I just couldn’t.

Honestly. I can’t eat the same thing for 30 days. With most of the diets, I did manage to lose some weight, but then every time the same thing happened–stagnation.

I would lose some weight in the first week, and that was it.

After trying and failing, and trying and failing again, I started losing hope.

And that’s the worst thing that can happen for a person struggling with anxiety and depression. I lost hope at ever being happy with myself, so I switched off completely.

I began that cycle of self-destruction. I tried drinking to forget everything, but that didn’t help much.

In fact, it made me hate myself even more. I thought I was so useless I couldn’t even do the most basic thing – live. And then, those dark thoughts started to come into my brain…” it’s better if I don’t even exist”. I know, horrible.

Luckily, in those few bad weeks, my sisters called. They immediately noticed that something wasn’t right and came to see me.

I talked to them about my struggles and the amount of support I felt then was overwhelming.

I realized that I did have someone that cares for me and loves me. One of them told me about this diet a friend of hers was on, which was called The Half Day Diet.

She showed me before/after photos and the results were more than obvious.

So, I decided to give it one more go. I went online and started reading about it.

Little did I know that my life took a whole different turn right there.

Who is the creator of the Half Day Diet?

this is an image of Nate Miyaki
Nate Miyaki

The man behind this weird diet I read about is Nate Miyaki.

He’s a professional nutrition coach for 15 years and owns one of the best practices in the San Francisco area that has thousands of people daily.

Let me tell you, he and his wife look amazing although they’re in their 40s, which was why I was shocked to read the following: “My wife and I enjoy a satisfying meal every evening with a heaping portion of yummy carbs. So do all the clients of my San Francisco coaching practice.

Not to brag… but we all walk around with bodies we’d be proud to show at the beach”

This guy was obviously a person that knows what he’s doing and found something that worked for so many people, which means it will work for me too (fingers crossed).

How does the program work?

The basis of the program is to trick your body into thinking it’s on a low carb diet when it’s actually NOT. I was confused what this meant at first, but by reading more about it, it made so much sense.

Carbs control the insulin in your body, which is responsible for transporting the food you eat to your cells.

Your body uses this food as an energy source or stores it as fat. When you deprive yourself of carbohydrates, your body begins to burn fat, which is why 99% of diets recommend cutting your carbs to a bare minimum.

But, if you cut your carbs, you won’t have the energy needed, so whenever you eat something, your body will stack it as fat to compensate for the lack of energy, worsening your weight problems.

But, if you eat carbs at the right time, your body will have regular energy intake and won’t overstore fat. Sounds logical, doesn’t it?

Therefore, the main focus of this diet is carbs. Most diets focus on cutting off carbs, which results in starvation, late-night cravings and binge eating, which results in gaining weight.

Nate says that by eating carbs at the RIGHT time, you can enjoy healthy meals without worrying about the weight.

The second focal point is cutting off processed foods. By cutting out chemical-laden processed foods, you return your metabolism to its natural state.

Your body will begin to digest, absorb, and use nutrition properly and you will increase your immune system strength.

This diet was exactly what I needed. I never had time to eat during the day because of my work schedule, so I ate at night anyway.

I ate carbs anyway. This meant that I wouldn’t have to change anything about my lifestyle, I would just have to adjust it.

Perfect. Let’s do this.

What’s included in the program

When I ordered it, Nate Miyaki had an action where the first 2000 copies were sold at a discounted price of $29, I think it’s still on, check it on their website: https://halfdayfactor.com.

The handbook arrived very fast (a few days) at 0 shipping costs.

What I received was a 3-day diet plan and additional 4 gifts – FOR FREE.

The 3-day diet handbook was a detailed walkthrough of the program, which is based on 3 pillars:

Pillar 1: Macro-optimization

In the first part, the goal is to optimize your body’s intake of protein, carbs, and fats.

To do this, I got a few templates to select from and choose the one that I thought was most fit for me. By using this template, I would get enough nutrients to prevent any hunger or binges.

To be honest, I didn’t think it would work, because I would still cut what I normally ate drastically. But, it turned out very easy.

I didn’t have the usual cravings, I wasn’t falling under temptations and I didn’t feel tired as previously.

Pillar 2: Customization

What I liked the most about this diet was that you could adjust it to your needs.

I was working all the time, so dedicating the time needed for all those meal preps and exercises is something I tried doing and realized I couldn’t.

But with this diet, I could select a diet template that was fit for my schedule, which was honestly perfect for me.

I didn’t have to follow a strict plan nor hire an expensive coach to keep track of my progress. I did the whole planning on my own, with Nate’s guidance.

Pillar 3: Evolution

Many other diets I tried didn’t have the lasting results I wanted. I managed to lose a pound or two, but never keep the weight loss consistent afterwards.

I always stagnated or gained back all the weight.

The Half Day Diet teaches you to realize that your body’s needs change all the time, especially as you’re losing weight over time.

This meant that I had to change the template I was using after a certain period because my body was working differently. And changing it wasn’t difficult at all. I just read the templates carefully and chose the one I thought was most suitable for how my body was working at that time.

Along with the basic handbook, I received the 4 additional bonuses, completely FREE. Guys, if you have the opportunity, please order them.

They were so helpful for managing my meals outside the regular ones.

Bonus 1: Restaurant & Fast Food Survival Guide

Having a busy lifestyle means less time for homecooked meals and more time for restaurant meals. And being on a diet while eating out frequently can be a hellish job to do.

I’m sure you all can relate to that. But, with the help of this guide, I could easily find food that I could order in a restaurant without breaking my diet rules.

Yes, it’s possible!

Bonus 2: The Happy Hour Handbook

Since I’m not much of a social person, I didn’t use this handbook a lot to be honest, but it would be perfect for those who love to go out and hang out with friends.

It has a few guides: what to eat prior a night of drinking, the best time to indulge in “drinks night”, Nate’s secret-weapon hangover cure and many more tips for all you extroverts out there.

Bonus 3: The Holiday Fat Loss Manual

Let’s be honest here. Holidays and diets don’t go well together. This is where this manual steps into play.

It has very useful tips on how you can balance any holiday dinner with your diet, so you don’t end up ruining your results, which is the case in so many diets.

Bonus 4: The Flat Belly Platinum Club

I also received premium access to the premium club, where Nate shared many cooking tips, workout routines, motivational videos and many tips and tricks that helped me stay motivated and improve my results.

And finally, Nate offers a 60-day guarantee that anyone using this handbook will see results very soon.

That’s why if you don’t see the results you wanted in 2 months, you can apply and get a full refund, no questions asked!

Benefits of the Half Day Diet

There are so many positives that I don’t know where to start.

There are just a handful of diets that let you design your food plan like this one. I’m now 3 months into dieting, lost 35 pounds (I know, wow) and I couldn’t be happier with how far I’ve come, both physically and mentally.

At only 8 days of dieting, I weighed myself and saw I lost 4 pounds. I also noticed my focus was improving which meant I could do my work tasks faster and have less work when I got home.

2 weeks into the diet and my energy levels skyrocketed.

Unlike those diets that cut you off carbs and make you feel foggy and tired, I now had more energy through the day.

My body felt good and well-rested throughout the whole day, while before, I was feeling tired as early as 4 PM.  My metabolism improved drastically thanks to the right nutrient intake.

My blood results were perfect, which meant that I was healthier than ever before.

What I love about this diet is that I can balance it however I want because my schedule is so tight and I need more flexibility.

Plus, I used to get so bored of diets after a short period, but with the Half Day Diet, I can change between different templates and eat differently all the time, which makes it even easier to stick to it.

Conclusion: Very Happy With the Half Day Diet

I cannot express the gratitude I have towards Nate Miyaki.

People think that losing weight is only about your physical state when the biggest impact is on your emotional and psychological state.

Yes, I did lose 35lbs fast, but what I got back was so much more than my looks.

I got my health and my life back, and I’m so glad I did it at 25 years of age instead of later.

I was depressed for so long because of my weight, which caused me to have no friends, no boyfriends, nothing.

Previously, I hated the way I looked and never dressed up. I only wore baggy clothes that covered up my stomach, my legs and my arms, thinking everyone was looking at them with disgust…like I did.

Now, I’m more willing to go out and meet new people without feeling ashamed of myself. And guess what?

Those compliments of how good and skinny I looked I always wanted to hear…I finally did.

But oddly enough, they didn’t make me as happy as I thought they would. Instead, I was happier for the compliments I gave to myself, happier for feeling good when I looked in the mirror.

The best part in this experience is that I’m completely off my anxiety medications!

I no longer need chemicals to be happy, I’m good as I am now.

And I won’t be wearing baggy clothes anymore, not only because they don’t fit me anymore, but because they are a part of someone that doesn’t exist.

For the first time in my life, I will wear dresses and tight clothes, and I will wear them proudly.

Not only because I overcame my weight problem, but because by losing the weigh, I overcame my psychological and emotional problems.

I’m off to enjoy my life now! Haven’t done it ever, so I don’t know how it will go, but I know I’ll be happier than before. And I got The Half Day Diet to thank for it.

While it’s used as an immunity booster mainly, doctors recommend it to people fighting fatigue caused by stressed body cells.

With your adrenal glands at good health, your hormonal levels are more balanced, giving you more energy and helping your brain stay focused.

  1. Ashwagandha

Ashwagandha is a powerful herb that belongs in the category of adaptogens, herbs used to help the body deal with stress.

When your brain is stressed, it uses most of the energy to fight the upset cells, leaving you with low levels of energy for daily use.

Ashwagandha contains chemicals that help calm the brain, minimizing the negative effects of a stressed nerve system.

You will feel better and more rested, which will allow you to go about your day freely.

The strong smell of the herb has earned its name that literally translates to horse smell.

It’s known as the Indian ginseng, a name often given to the most effective herbs for mental energy and focus.

You Won’t Believe What Turmeric Does To Your Digestive Health

What are the health benefits of turmeric? The Proven Benefits…

Your digestive health doesn’t only include the process of dissolving food and using its nutrients. It also includes mouth salivating and muscle function.

If some of these don’t work properly, you may find yourself with a poor digestion system and deteriorating digestive health.

Traditional pharmaceutical medicine can help, but it has often been the cause of other health problems.

This is where turmeric comes into play. It helps in the process of restoring your digestive health in ways you wouldn’t even think of.

When you consume foods that are heavier for the gut to digest, your body can release stronger stomach acid to try and break down these foods.

This stomach acid can damage your gut’s walls and cause inflammation.

Curcumin can prevent the production of harmful bowel acid by stimulating the gallbladder to release more bile.

The bile will help your body produce more gastric wall music, which will enable them to withstand the strong acid and prevent any damage.

Turmeric also helps improve the colon function by stimulating the production of beneficial bacteria.

This helps towards restoring your digestive health to a balanced state where your intestines can absorb the good bacteria and nutrients from food.

When your gut’s muscles function properly, your whole digestive health improves.

Furthermore, turmeric has antioxidants that help calm your stomach.

It has the ability to reduce the irregular muscle contractions that cause poor digestion and bloating accompanied with uncomfortable gas and bring your body into a calm and balanced state

Consuming turmeric in different ways can improve your overall digestive health, but it’s especially effective against digestive inflammation.

Digestive inflammation can be caused by alcohol, spicy food, fattening or lack of exercise.

Curcumin contains anti-inflammatory compounds and antioxidants which help your stomach walls produce more mucus.

This mucus makes them stronger and improves their absorption capacity, so your body can take in more of the good nutrients.

Besides fighting poor digestion and long-term digestive health issues, turmeric can also help for short-term digestive health imbalances, like diarrhea.

Diarrhea can be caused by food poisoning, food intolerance or viruses. It’s a condition that causes discomfort and can be embarrassing at times.

Consuming turmeric powder along with other liquids can help restore your digestive health and prevent diarrhea by hydrating your body and helping it fight against viruses.

Another form of consuming turmeric is in powder form.

Turmeric powder has high quantities of magnesium and potassium in it, substances that have been proven to fight dehydration, help towards restoring your digestive health and rebalance your body’s fluids.

The other vitamins and chemicals in turmeric stimulate your whole digestion system and improve your body’s immunity.

You can consume turmeric in different ways. There are many turmeric supplements selling on the markets in the form of capsules, powder, pills and turmeric acid.

You can also use its root to make delicious juice or use it in a powdered form as an addition to cooked vegetables.

It blends well with many vegetables and meats, so you can make your meals tastier and healthier at the same time.

The benefits of turmeric are endless. It not only helps your digestive health, but it has been proven to have long-term benefits for other parts of your body as well.

It helps protect your brain cells, supports a healthy cardiovascular function, improves your skin’s health and hydrates your body.

It’s no wonder it’s known as the 100 disease cure!

  1. Sweet potato turmeric miso soup (4 servings)

As I mentioned, turmeric is used to make a variety of turmeric weight loss recipes. It’s often mixed with potatoes since they are often used in diets to control your appetite.

It’s not only a healthy antioxidant recipe but will also reduce the amount of food your body requires, making you feel full faster, but in a healthy way.

The ingredients needed for this meal are:

  • 1 small sweet potato

Preheat your oven to 450° and roast potato on a rimmed baking sheet for 35–45 minutes. Let them cool, then scoop out flesh and discard their skin.

Meanwhile, combine kombu and 4 cups water in a large pot. Let them rest until kombu softens, for around 25–30 minutes.

Bring to a simmer over medium heat. Add the bonito flakes and stir once to submerge them. Return to a gentle boil, reduce heat, and simmer about 5 minutes.

Remove from heat and let steep 15 minutes (so you get the most flavorful broth). Strain dashi through a fine-mesh strainer into a medium bowl. Discard the solids and wipe out your pot.

Transfer the broth to a blender. Add the sweet potato, coconut milk, miso, and turmeric. Blend them until smooth.

  1. Golden milk

Making golden milk is as easy as making turmeric green tea. It’s one of the most used turmeric recipes for arthritis, because of the high levels of calcium in milk.

Calcium, as we all know, is good for your bones, and the turmeric can provide pain relief and aid with bone inflammation.

So, if you use a combination of these two, you will be able to reduce the pain caused by arthritis or other similar inflammation.

All you need to do is pour a bit of your milk of choice (cow, almond, coconut, or other) and add turmeric to taste. I personally like coconut milk since it helps me with my skin, but you can choose whatever milk you want.

It’s called golden milk because of the color the turmeric will give to the milk. You will notice some amazing results after just a few doses.
