Half Day Diet Review – Here’s What I Really Think!

My Review: Here’s My Thoughts and Opinions On The Half Day Diet…

As a kid, I was always the chubby one in the family. You know, the one that the whole family loves to tease and make jokes about. While it didn’t bother me when I was 10, once I got to puberty, I started looking at my body differently, and having someone constantly comment about my weight made me subconscious about the way I looked.

I talked to my sisters about my weight issues, but they just blamed it on puberty and said it’s normal. So, I brushed it off and hoped for the best.

Turns out they lied. I was hoping when I left puberty I would experience a sudden weight loss and amaze everyone with how hot and fit I looked. I expected to get those “OMG have you lost weight?” or “Wow, you look so good!” comments I always wanted to, but I didn’t. And then, college time arrived.

My friends were going on dates and getting invited to parties, and I just sat there, hiding from everyone. As every other emotional eater, I found my comfort in eating. I was so depressed about my life that I became antisocial and was just… hiding. That’s all I did. By recommendations of my family, I went to a psychiatrist in hopes of feeling better, but all he did was prescribe anxiety medication and antidepressants, which made me feel even more tired and unwilling to do anything.

In the meantime, I got an internship as a PHP developer, something that I always wanted to do. I now had something to focus on, so I started working all the time to prove myself to my managers, which ultimately worsened my weight problems. My schedule consisted of me studying for college or sitting in front of my laptop all the time.

When the happiness of getting my dream internship faded, the feeling of emptiness came back, but this time with a vengeance. I didn’t only feel bad physically and have health issues, but I went into a really bad place in my mind. All because of my weight.

I realized this type of lifestyle wasn’t doing anything good, neither for my body nor for my psychological state. I promised myself I’ll do everything I can to lose weight, which proved more difficult to do than say.

I started dieting hardcore. Like, every single diet I could find – organic diets, restriction diets, 10 meal diets, everything. Some diets I tried I quit immediately because they took too much time in meal prepping or exercising, a time I couldn’t afford. There were also those that just got so monotonic that… I just couldn’t.

Honestly. I can’t eat the same thing for 30 days. With most of the diets, I did manage to lose some weight, but then every time the same thing happened–stagnation. I would lose some weight in the first week, and that was it.

After trying and failing, and trying and failing again, I started losing hope. And that’s the worst thing that can happen for a person struggling with anxiety and depression. I lost hope at ever being happy with myself, so I switched off completely.

I began that cycle of self-destruction. I tried drinking to forget everything, but that didn’t help much. In fact, it made me hate myself even more. I thought I was so useless I couldn’t even do the most basic thing – live. And then, those dark thoughts started to come into my brain…” it’s better if I don’t even exist”. I know, horrible.

Luckily, in those few bad weeks, my sisters called. They immediately noticed that something wasn’t right and came to see me. I talked to them about my struggles and the amount of support I felt then was overwhelming.

I realized that I did have someone that cares for me and loves me. One of them told me about this diet a friend of hers was on, which was called The Half Day Diet. She showed me before/after photos and the results were more than obvious. So, I decided to give it one more go. I went online and started reading about it.

Little did I know that my life took a whole different turn right there.

Who is the creator of the Half Day Diet?

Nate Miyaki

The man behind this weird diet I read about is Nate Miyaki. He’s a professional nutrition coach for 15 years and owns one of the best practices in the San Francisco area that has thousands of people daily.

Let me tell you, he and his wife look amazing although they’re in their 40s, which was why I was shocked to read the following: “My wife and I enjoy a satisfying meal every evening with a heaping portion of yummy carbs. So do all the clients of my San Francisco coaching practice. Not to brag… but we all walk around with bodies we’d be proud to show at the beach”

This guy was obviously a person that knows what he’s doing and found something that worked for so many people, which means it will work for me too (fingers crossed).

How does the program work?

The basis of the program is to trick your body into thinking it’s on a low carb diet when it’s actually NOT. I was confused what this meant at first, but by reading more about it, it made so much sense.

Carbs control the insulin in your body, which is responsible for transporting the food you eat to your cells. Your body uses this food as an energy source or stores it as fat. When you deprive yourself of carbohydrates, your body begins to burn fat, which is why 99% of diets recommend cutting your carbs to a bare minimum.

But, if you cut your carbs, you won’t have the energy needed, so whenever you eat something, your body will stack it as fat to compensate for the lack of energy, worsening your weight problems. But, if you eat carbs at the right time, your body will have regular energy intake and won’t overstore fat. Sounds logical, doesn’t it?

Therefore, the main focus of this diet is carbs. Most diets focus on cutting off carbs, which results in starvation, late-night cravings and binge eating, which results in gaining weight. Nate says that by eating carbs at the RIGHT time, you can enjoy healthy meals without worrying about the weight.

The second focal point is cutting off processed foods. By cutting out chemical-laden processed foods, you return your metabolism to its natural state. Your body will begin to digest, absorb, and use nutrition properly and you will increase your immune system strength.

This diet was exactly what I needed. I never had time to eat during the day because of my work schedule, so I ate at night anyway. I ate carbs anyway. This meant that I wouldn’t have to change anything about my lifestyle, I would just have to adjust it.

Perfect. Let’s do this.

What’s included in the program

When I ordered it, Nate Miyaki had an action where the first 2000 copies were sold at a discounted price of $29, I think it’s still on, check it on their website: https://halfdayfactor.com. The handbook arrived very fast (a few days) at 0 shipping costs. What I received was a 3-day diet plan and additional 4 gifts – FOR FREE.

The 3-day diet handbook was a detailed walkthrough of the program, which is based on 3 pillars:

Pillar 1: Macro-optimization

In the first part, the goal is to optimize your body’s intake of protein, carbs, and fats. To do this, I got a few templates to select from and choose the one that I thought was most fit for me. By using this template, I would get enough nutrients to prevent any hunger or binges. To be honest, I didn’t think it would work, because I would still cut what I normally ate drastically. But, it turned out very easy. I didn’t have the usual cravings, I wasn’t falling under temptations and I didn’t feel tired as previously.

Pillar 2: Customization

What I liked the most about this diet was that you could adjust it to your needs.  I was working all the time, so dedicating the time needed for all those meal preps and exercises is something I tried doing and realized I couldn’t. But with this diet, I could select a diet template that was fit for my schedule, which was honestly perfect for me. I didn’t have to follow a strict plan nor hire an expensive coach to keep track of my progress. I did the whole planning on my own, with Nate’s guidance.

Pillar 3: Evolution

Many other diets I tried didn’t have the lasting results I wanted. I managed to lose a pound or two, but never keep the weight loss consistent afterwards. I always stagnated or gained back all the weight.

The Half Day Diet teaches you to realize that your body’s needs change all the time, especially as you’re losing weight over time. This meant that I had to change the template I was using after a certain period because my body was working differently. And changing it wasn’t difficult at all. I just read the templates carefully and chose the one I thought was most suitable for how my body was working at that time.

Along with the basic handbook, I received the 4 additional bonuses, completely FREE. Guys, if you have the opportunity, please order them. They were so helpful for managing my meals outside the regular ones.

Bonus 1: Restaurant & Fast Food Survival Guide

Having a busy lifestyle means less time for homecooked meals and more time for restaurant meals. And being on a diet while eating out frequently can be a hellish job to do. I’m sure you all can relate to that. But, with the help of this guide, I could easily find food that I could order in a restaurant without breaking my diet rules. Yes, it’s possible!

Bonus 2: The Happy Hour Handbook

Since I’m not much of a social person, I didn’t use this handbook a lot to be honest, but it would be perfect for those who love to go out and hang out with friends. It has a few guides: what to eat prior a night of drinking, the best time to indulge in “drinks night”, Nate’s secret-weapon hangover cure and many more tips for all you extroverts out there.

Bonus 3: The Holiday Fat Loss Manual

Let’s be honest here. Holidays and diets don’t go well together. This is where this manual steps into play. It has very useful tips on how you can balance any holiday dinner with your diet, so you don’t end up ruining your results, which is the case in so many diets.

Bonus 4: The Flat Belly Platinum Club

I also received premium access to the premium club, where Nate shared many cooking tips, workout routines, motivational videos and a many tips and tricks that helped me stay motivated and improve my results.

And finally, Nate offers a 60-day guarantee that anyone using this handbook will see results very soon. That’s why if you don’t see the results you wanted in 2 months, you can apply and get a full refund, no questions asked.

The benefits of the Half Day Diet

There are so many positives that I don’t know where to start from. There are just a handful of diets that let you design your food plan like this one. I’m now 3 months into dieting, lost 35 pounds (I know, wow) and I couldn’t be happier with how far I’ve come, both physically and mentally.

At only 8 days of dieting I weighed myself and saw I lost 4 pounds. I also noticed my focus was improving which meant I could do my work tasks faster and have less work when I got home. 2 weeks into the diet and my energy levels skyrocketed. Unlike those diets that cut you off carbs and make you feel foggy and tired, I now had more energy through the day. My body felt good and well-rested throughout the whole day, while before, I was feeling tired as early as 4 PM.  My metabolism improved drastically thanks to the right nutrient intake. My blood results were perfect, which meant that I was healthier than ever before.

What I love about this diet is that I can balance it however I want because my schedule is so tight and I need more flexibility. Plus, I used to get so bored of diets after a short period, but with the Half Day Diet, I can change between different templates and eat differently all the time, which makes it even easier to stick to it.

Conclusion: Very Happy With the Half Day Diet

I cannot express the gratitude I have towards Nate Miyaki. People think that losing weight is only about your physical state when the biggest impact is on your emotional and psychological state. Yes, I did lose 35lbs fast, but what I got back was so much more than my looks. I got my health and my life back, and I’m so glad I did it at 25 years of age instead of later.

I was depressed for so long because of my weight, which caused me to have no friends, no boyfriends, nothing. Previously, I hated the way I looked and never dressed up. I only wore baggy clothes that covered up my stomach, my legs and my arms, thinking everyone was looking at them with disgust…like I did.

Now, I’m more willing to go out and meet new people without feeling ashamed of myself. And guess what? Those compliments of how good and skinny I looked I always wanted to hear…I finally did. But oddly enough, they didn’t make me as happy as I thought they would. Instead, I was happier for the compliments I gave to myself, happier for feeling good when I looked in the mirror.

The best part in this experience is that I’m completely off my anxiety medications! I no longer need chemicals to be happy, I’m good as I am now. And I won’t be wearing baggy clothes anymore, not only because they don’t fit me anymore, but because they are a part of someone that doesn’t exist. For the first time in my life, I will wear dresses and tight clothes, and I will wear them proudly. Not only because I overcame my weight problem, but because by losing the weigh, I overcame my psychological and emotional problems.

I’m off to enjoy my life now! Haven’t done it ever, so I don’t know how it will go, but I know I’ll be happier than before. And I got The Half Day Diet to thank for it.
